Frequently Asked Questions
We provide structured, 24/7 residential care services tailored specifically for individuals requiring comprehensive daily support, including those with developmental disabilities, specialized behavioral needs, or traumatic brain injuries. Our program focuses on building independent life skills, ensuring safety, and providing daily stability in a comfortable, community-integrated home setting.
Resident medication safety is handled with strict adherence to Idaho Board of Nursing standards. While only a licensed nurse may directly administer certain complex medications, our direct care team consists of highly trained personnel who have successfully completed an state-approved assistance with medications course. This certification allows our delegated staff to safely assist residents with daily self-administration using pre-packaged, pharmacy-verified medi-sets or blister packs. A licensed professional nurse oversees our systems, routinely checking medication regimens at least quarterly to ensure continued health and safety.
To protect our residents, all prospective employees must satisfy strict state safety mandates. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older, possess a high school diploma or GED, and successfully clear a fingerprint-based Idaho Department of Health and Welfare Background Check prior to their first shift. Because we operate as a licensed Idaho Residential Care Facility, any unconditional denials or disqualifying history flagged by the state background unit will automatically prevent placement or employment.
We maintain strict staff-to-resident ratios that meet or exceed all operational regulations enforced by the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare. Our home is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, ensuring that trained direct care professionals are always present to respond to medical or behavioral needs. During daytime hours when residents are awake and active, we increase our on-site team numbers to match the individual support levels required by our community’s custom care agreements. During standard night shifts, we ensure that an awake, fully trained direct care staff member is on duty to manage emergencies and guarantee overnight safety.
We enthusiastically welcome compassionate entry-level candidates and provide comprehensive, paid orientation training to ensure your success! Before providing any unsupervised personal care to residents, all new hires complete a mandatory 16-hour job-related orientation. To simplify your onboarding, we utilize the state-approved training modules hosted on the Idaho DHW Long-Term Care Provider Training Portal. Furthermore, our facility invests in your professional development by providing the 8 hours of annual continuing education required by Idaho law to expand your skills in behavioral management and specialized resident care.
